Patty FitzGibbons is the Associate Director, Kapnick Center for Business Institutions. Get to know her by reading her answers to six questions.
How long have you been at the university and what’s your current role?
I have been at Northwestern for over 13 years. My current title is Associate Director, Kapnick Center for Business Institutions.
What’s your favorite part of the job?
My favorite part of the job is witnessing the growth of students from first year welcome week to senior year graduation.
What’s your secret talent?
My secret talent is purging closets. Over the years, I have learned that ‘less’ is often ‘more’.What do you like to do in your free time?
What do you like to do in your free time?
In addition to having fun with my family and friends, I enjoy walking, hiking, pickleball and skiing in my free time.
What is your perfect idea of a relaxing day?
A relaxing day may consist of spring like conditions for skiing out west, followed by après ski, a delicious dinner and laughter with family/friends in a jacuzzi.
For people looking to try out something new (food, TV shows, places, etc.), what would you recommend?
Looking to try something new? My suggestion would be to check out the Architecture Boat Tour in downtown Chicago this summer. The views from the water are beautiful, and you will learn more about the history of Chicago than you might have anticipated.
