Weinberg staff gathered on December 15, 2022, at Smylie Brothers for the annual holiday party hosted by the Dean’s Office. While enjoying finger foods and grown-up drinks, everybody had a chance to take a break from end-of-the-year business and catch up with friends and colleagues from across the college.
WSAB hosted awards for three contests at the event – The first took place midway through the party and was a great delight for anybody watching the catwalk – The Ugly Sweater Contest! Rachel Altork in her “Dutch” sweater took the prize, edging out her nearest competition by 3 votes.
Highly coveted trophy that will be passed around annually.
Rachel wasn’t the only winner that day – our online vote revealed that the Sociology Department won the Office Decor Contest. Submitted by Katie Shirilla with help from Brian Rochon, they get to hold the coveted “Snowman Trophy” in their possession until next year.
We also saw the culmination of WSAB’s first Spy Games. A month and a half of intrigue, mixed with skulking in corners paid off for Feda Jarad (Chemistry)!
While not all of us left the party victorious, we were all wined and dined and ready to finish the year strong. Thank you to the Dean’s Office and Laura D for organizing this amazing holiday party.
